| Information | In Chamapesa, we propose a smartphone app and a new, open network for decentralized savings and lending. Our inspiration are traditional savings circles, as used by people around the world for centuries. Chamapesa will create a blockchain-based ‘last billion banking network’ to support saving circles. Our experience with Kenyan saving circles (locally called Chamas) has helped us develop a model that enhances this tradition, without changing it in any way. Growth and maintenance of Chamapesa’s community will be funded through the issuance of Chamacoin tokens. |
