Elon Musk Hints at Vine Revival, Fueling VINE Meme Coin’s 400% Surge

VINE, a Solana-based meme coin inspired by the once-viral short video platform Vine, has exploded in popularity following renewed interest from Elon Musk. As July comes to a close, the token has recorded staggering gains and trading volume—defying the typical short-lived hype cycle seen in the meme coin space.

On July 24, 2025, Elon Musk reignited speculation about Vine’s return by suggesting the platform could be revived with artificial intelligence features. His comment quickly revived interest in the VINE token, which was originally launched by Vine co-creator Rus Yusupov after Musk floated the idea back in January.

Unlike other meme coins that often face rapid dumps following viral attention, VINE appears to be maintaining momentum. Notably, on July 28, Lookonchain reported that a whale wallet (8RwxXR) withdrew 17,082 SOL — roughly $3.19 million — from Binance and used it to buy over 22 million VINE tokens. This move further boosted investor confidence and sent social media into a frenzy.

Now trading around $0.15 with a $150 million market cap, VINE has seen a 400% price surge in July alone. Trading volume on decentralized exchanges (DEXs) spiked as well, with July 27 marking a three-month high of $35.8 million in combined buys and sells.

VINE’s on-chain footprint is expanding rapidly, with nearly 100,000 holders on DEXs and more than 138,000 transactions on record. It currently leads the Solana ecosystem in performance over the past week.

While sentiment is largely bullish, with some speculators projecting a market cap of $500 million in the near term, concerns about token concentration remain. Approximately 40% of VINE’s circulating supply is held by just 10 wallets — including large exchanges and liquidity pools — raising the risk of volatility if any of these whales decide to offload their positions.

For now, though, VINE continues to ride the wave of Musk-driven momentum, with investors watching closely for the next move — both from the market and from Musk himself.
