Trump Media Plans Shareholder Crypto Token With Crypto.com

Trump Media, the publicly listed company behind Truth Social, is preparing to issue a blockchain-based token to its shareholders through a new partnership with Crypto.com, marking another step in its expanding crypto strategy.
According to the company, the planned token distribution will be tied directly to DJT share ownership, with shareholders receiving tokens proportional to their holdings. However, Trump Media stressed that the digital asset will not represent equity, voting rights, or any ownership claim in the business, distancing the initiative from securities-style classifications.
Instead, the token is positioned as a rewards-style digital asset. Trump Media indicated it could be used to unlock perks, discounts, or special access across its ecosystem, including platforms such as Truth Social, Truth+, and Truth Predict, over the course of the year.
CEO Devin Nunes said the collaboration aims to leverage Crypto.com’s blockchain infrastructure while benefiting from what he described as improving regulatory clarity. The company characterized the initiative as a novel approach to rewarding shareholders while promoting transparency in digital markets.
While final mechanics have not been disclosed, the token may run on Crypto.com’s Cronos blockchain and could be non-transferable, meaning holders may be unable to sell it or exchange it for cash. Trump Media said more details on timing and structure will be released in the new year.
The announcement comes as Trump Media continues to broaden its crypto footprint. The firm already maintains a sizable bitcoin treasury—about 15,000 BTC valued near $1.5 billion—custodied by Crypto.com and Anchorage Digital. It has also partnered with Crypto.com to develop Truth.Fi-branded exchange-traded funds and a predictions market platform.
Shares of Trump Media rose more than 4% following the news, trading around $13. Meanwhile, earlier Trump-linked crypto ventures, including the TRUMP and MELANIA memecoins, continue to trade well below their initial launch highs, underscoring the mixed track record of politically branded digital assets.
