World Launches World Money Financial Super App Across 150 Countries

World is expanding its financial services with the launch of World Money, a self-custody financial app that brings stablecoin payments, digital asset rewards and trading into one platform.
The rollout began Thursday across more than 150 countries, with available features depending on the user’s location. World Money allows users to send supported digital assets, including stablecoins, to recipients through their World usernames. Users can also deposit eligible assets to earn rewards and buy or sell digital assets through connected exchanges.
The app also includes access to third-party Mini Apps such as Kalshi, Credit and Morpho, extending its financial services beyond basic wallet functions.
A partnership with Stripe adds another payment option for users in the US. Through the integration, users can fund their accounts and purchase stablecoins using Apple Pay. The feature is initially available to US users.
World Separates Identity and Financial Services
World Money marks the latest step in World’s expansion from digital identity into financial services. The company first launched World App in May 2023, combining World ID with a crypto wallet, stablecoin transfers and digital asset trading.
In October 2024, World introduced World App 3.0, describing it as a “super app for humans.” The update added third-party Mini Apps and Vault, a feature designed to let users earn rewards on eligible assets.
World later tested virtual bank accounts in the US in November 2025. The service expanded to additional countries the following month, allowing users to receive paychecks and bank deposits that are converted into USDC.
With World Money, the company is now separating its identity and financial products into two dedicated applications.
The World ID App focuses on identity verification and credentials, while World Money handles wallets, payments and other financial features. Existing World App and World ID App users can access World Money using their current accounts, according to the company.
Tools for Humanity Operates World Money
World Money is operated by Tools for Humanity, the technology company co-founded by Sam Altman and Alex Blania. The company develops technology for the World network, which combines digital identity services with blockchain-based financial tools.
The new app brings several of World’s existing financial features into a dedicated platform, while expanding access to stablecoin payments, rewards and digital asset trading across a global user base.
