MrBeast Plans Crypto Empire With MrBeast Financial App Trademark

YouTube megastar James Stephen Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, appears ready to expand his empire into the world of finance and cryptocurrency. The social media sensation has filed a new trademark for “MrBeast Financial,” signaling potential plans to launch a downloadable crypto and payments app.
According to the filing, the proposed platform would provide cryptocurrency exchange services, digital payment processing, investment banking, insurance, and financial education tools. It also lists microfinance lending and decentralized exchange (DEX) trading as part of its intended offerings—suggesting a broad push into fintech and blockchain.
If brought to life, the venture would mark MrBeast’s most ambitious business project yet. To legally operate a crypto platform in the U.S., his company would need to register as a Money Services Business (MSB) with FinCEN, obtain state-level money transmission licenses, and potentially seek regulatory approval from the SEC or CFTC, depending on its structure.
Donaldson, who boasts over 446 million YouTube subscribers, has built a media empire around large-scale philanthropic and entertainment ventures—from recreating Squid Game with a $456,000 prize to giving away private islands and jets. But this latest move hints at a strategic pivot: merging mainstream creator influence with crypto finance.
MrBeast’s ties to digital assets run deep. He first entered the crypto scene in 2021, investing in startups and purchasing several high-value NFTs, including eight CryptoPunks at their peak. Blockchain enthusiasts have long tracked his wallet activity, anticipating new moves in the space.
The MrBeast Financial trademark—filed under his parent company Beast Holdings—adds to a growing portfolio of 52 trademarks, including MrBeast Burger, Feastables, MrBeast Philanthropy, and Beast Games. While not all of these have turned into active businesses, several, such as Feastables and MrBeast Burger, have become major consumer brands.
Donaldson’s move follows a wave of recent crypto trademark filings by major firms. Ripple Labs registered “Ripple Custody” for its bank-grade custody solution earlier this year, while JP Morgan filed for “JPMD”, sparking speculation about a potential stablecoin project.
If approved, MrBeast Financial could signal a new era where influencer-led fintech ventures rival traditional banking and crypto startups—powered not just by capital, but by a massive digital fanbase ready to follow their favorite creator into the world of finance.
