MicroStrategy Expands Bitcoin Holdings With $1.92B Purchase, Now Holding Over 528K BTC

MicroStrategy (MSTR) has reinforced its position as the largest corporate Bitcoin holder with another massive acquisition. In a recent filing on Monday morning, the company disclosed the purchase of 22,048 BTC for approximately $1.92 billion. The average acquisition price per Bitcoin stands at $86,969.
With this latest addition, MicroStrategy now holds a staggering 528,185 BTC, acquired at a total cost of $35.63 billion, averaging $67,458 per coin. At Bitcoin’s current market price of around $82,000, the company’s holdings are valued at over $43 billion.
The purchase was primarily financed through equity sales, with $1.2 billion raised via additional common share issuance in the week leading up to March 30. The firm also utilized its STRK preferred share at-the-market (ATM) program to secure an extra $18.52 million. Additionally, MicroStrategy completed its STRF preferred share offering, bringing in $711.2 million.
Despite the substantial Bitcoin acquisition, MicroStrategy’s stock (MSTR) was down 4% in premarket trading, mirroring Bitcoin’s approximate 3% decline since the stock market closed on Friday.
