SharpLink Quietly Amasses 270,000 ETH as Ethereum Treasury Strategy Accelerates

Nasdaq-listed SharpLink Gaming (SBET) has deepened its Ethereum commitment, quietly adding another 16,374 ETH—worth approximately $48.85 million—on Sunday, according to on-chain data from Arkham Intelligence. The transfer, sourced from wallet “0xCd9…F5F75,” originated from Galaxy Digital’s OTC desk, further reinforcing SharpLink’s strategic crypto buildout.
Though the company has yet to formally announce this latest transaction, blockchain analytics group EmberCN estimates SharpLink’s unofficial ETH holdings now total roughly 270,000 ETH, positioning it among the most aggressive corporate Ethereum accumulators to date. On Friday alone, SharpLink reportedly acquired 21,487 ETH, amounting to $63.7 million.
This aggressive accumulation comes just weeks after the company launched its Ethereum treasury initiative in late May, backed by a $425 million private placement led by Consensys. Notably, Consensys CEO and Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin now chairs SharpLink's board, signaling a deep alignment with Ethereum's long-term vision.
Lubin has described SharpLink’s strategy as more than a financial bet. “SharpLink is acquiring, staking, and restaking ETH as responsible industry stewards, removing supply from circulation and reinforcing the health of the Ethereum ecosystem,” he stated last week.
As Ether trades near $2,981—its highest point since early February—SharpLink’s ETH holdings could soon have significant balance sheet implications. The company's stock closed Friday up 17.15% at $21.65, following reports of its 10,000 ETH purchase.
What began as a Minneapolis-based iGaming software firm is now rapidly transforming into a prominent institutional force in the Ethereum ecosystem—one that could shift how corporate treasuries approach digital assets.
