Bitcoin Price Reclaims $75K as Institutional Buying and Easing Tensions Fuel Recovery Plans

Bitcoin has surged back into the spotlight after reclaiming the $75,000 level on Monday, marking a strong continuation of its recent recovery and signaling renewed confidence across the crypto market.

The leading cryptocurrency pushed past this key psychological threshold during U.S. trading hours, breaking out of a prolonged consolidation phase that had kept prices range-bound for weeks. The move represents Bitcoin’s highest level since early February and underscores a broader shift toward risk-on sentiment in global markets.

The rally follows a sharp rebound from February lows near $63,000, when uncertainty tied to the Iran–Israel War weighed heavily on investor sentiment. Since then, improving macro conditions and a gradual return of confidence have helped drive prices higher.

A notable catalyst came over the weekend as tensions around the Strait of Hormuz appeared to ease. Reports that commercial tankers successfully navigated the critical oil corridor for the first time since the conflict began helped calm fears of supply disruptions, contributing to a more favorable environment for risk assets like Bitcoin.

Institutional demand continues to play a major role in the asset’s upward momentum. Corporate accumulation remains aggressive, with Strategy, led by Michael Saylor, revealing a fresh purchase of 22,337 BTC worth roughly $1.57 billion. The move pushed the firm’s total holdings to over 761,000 BTC, reinforcing its position as the largest public corporate holder of Bitcoin.

Global interest is also expanding, particularly in Asia. Japanese investment firm Metaplanet recently raised approximately $255 million to accelerate its Bitcoin-focused treasury strategy, with plans that could see total funding exceed $530 million.

Despite the strong rebound, traders remain cautious about calling this a definitive breakout. Similar rallies during the 2022 bear market ultimately faded, culminating in a steep decline following the FTX collapse.

For now, market participants are closely monitoring whether Bitcoin can maintain support above $75,000. Holding this level could pave the way for a move toward $80,000—a zone that previously served as a critical support level before the correction earlier this year.

The coming days will likely determine whether this rally marks the beginning of a sustained uptrend or another temporary surge in a fragile market cycle.
