Bitmine Ethereum Holdings Top 6 Million ETH

Bitmine has pushed its Ethereum holdings above 6 million ETH after adding another 17,362 ETH to its treasury since its previous update on Sept. 21.

The company, chaired by Tom Lee, said Monday that its total digital assets, cash, marketable securities and other investments were worth $17.2 billion. Its Ethereum holdings now stand at 6,001,302 ETH, valued at roughly $16.1 billion at current prices.

Bitmine did not provide the average price paid for the latest purchase. Based on current ETH prices, the newly acquired 17,362 ETH is worth approximately $46.7 million.

Lee described the milestone as a major step for the company's Ethereum treasury strategy, noting that Bitmine accumulated more than 6 million ETH in less than 15 months. The company's holdings now represent more than 4.9% of Ethereum's circulating supply.

Bitmine is also nearing its target of holding 5% of the total ETH supply. The company said it has reached about 98% of the way toward its "Alchemy of 5%" goal.

Lee also pointed to continued institutional interest in crypto and argued that many institutions remain underexposed to the asset class. He expects institutional participation to increase during the final months of 2026.

Beyond Ethereum, Bitmine held 213 BTC worth around $17.8 million as of Sept. 27. The company also reported a $115 million position in Eightco Holdings, a $180 million stake in Beast Industries, and $672 million in cash and marketable securities.

Staking has become another major part of Bitmine's Ethereum strategy. The company said it had 5,067,309 ETH staked, worth approximately $13.6 billion. That represents about 84% of its total ETH holdings.

Bitmine said its current annualized staking revenue is projected at around $358 million. Once its entire Ethereum position is staked through MAVAN and its staking partners, the company estimates annual staking rewards could reach approximately $424 million. Its own staking operations generated a seven-day annualized yield of 2.62%.

With more than 6 million ETH, Bitmine remains the largest publicly known Ethereum treasury holder. SharpLink and The Ether Machine rank behind it with approximately 888,938 ETH and 496,712 ETH, respectively.

Bitmine is also the second-largest public crypto treasury company overall by the value of its primary crypto holdings. Strategy remains ahead with 847,666 BTC following its latest purchase, representing more than 4% of Bitcoin's 21 million maximum supply.
