Forward Industries to Tokenize FORD Shares on Solana via Superstate’s Opening Bell

Forward Industries (NASDAQ: FORD), the largest Solana digital-asset treasury, is moving to tokenize its publicly traded shares on Superstate’s Opening Bell platform. The Monday announcement marks a major leap toward making the company “onchain-first,” according to board chairman Kyle Samani.

The initiative follows Galaxy Digital’s recent milestone as the first Nasdaq-listed firm to issue Solana-based shares through Superstate, a fintech venture founded by Compound creator Robert Leshner. Tokenized equities, which enable 24/7 trading and instant settlement, are drawing attention from market players like Kraken and Robinhood eager to widen global access to U.S. stocks such as AAPL and TSLA.

Forward will integrate its onchain FORD token with Solana DeFi protocols Drift, Kamino, and Jupiter Lend, allowing the shares to serve as collateral across lending markets. The company also plans to take an equity stake in Superstate to co-develop future products.

Backed by Galaxy Digital, Jump Crypto, and Multicoin Capital, Forward cemented its lead in Solana treasury holdings after a $1.65 billion private placement earlier this month, outpacing other major SOL-focused firms like DeFi Development Corp., Sharps Technology, and Upexi.
