Michael Saylor Unveils STRC as Emerging Bitcoin Credit Giant at Bitcoin 2026

At Bitcoin 2026, Michael Saylor used his keynote appearance to spotlight STRC, a Bitcoin-linked preferred stock product he believes is rapidly becoming one of the most successful new credit instruments in global markets.
Speaking on the Nakamoto Stage, the Strategy founder and executive chairman described STRC as a major breakthrough in what he calls “digital credit” — a financial model designed to combine Bitcoin-backed value with income-generating investment products.
Launched less than a year ago, STRC is Strategy’s Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock. The product trades on Nasdaq close to its $100 face value while offering an annualized 11.5% dividend paid monthly, making it attractive to yield-focused investors.
Saylor framed his presentation around the growing importance of capital and lending in the modern economy.
“The world is built on capital. The world runs on credit,” he told attendees.
According to Saylor, Bitcoin represents the strongest form of modern capital due to its digital nature, portability, and long-term performance. He pointed to Bitcoin’s strong five-year returns compared with traditional assets such as gold, equities, and property.
He argued that products like STRC could unlock a new wave of Bitcoin adoption by allowing investors to gain income exposure while indirectly benefiting from Bitcoin’s growth potential.
Saylor’s broader message was clear: as more financial products are built around Bitcoin, digital credit markets may become a key force driving mainstream adoption and long-term price expansion.
