Monad Sets November 24 Mainnet Launch With MON Token Airdrop and Exchange Listing

Layer-1 blockchain Monad is officially set to launch its mainnet and MON token on November 24 at 9 a.m. ET, marking a major milestone for one of the most closely-watched Ethereum and Solana rivals in the crypto space. The Monad Foundation confirmed the rollout alongside an airdrop designed to reward early community participants.

The network—EVM-compatible and built for high throughput—has secured more than $240 million in total funding, including a $225 million raise led by Paradigm in 2024. Founded in 2022, Monad’s goal has been clear from the start: deliver Solana-level speed and cost-efficiency while maintaining full Ethereum compatibility.

According to project data, Monad’s mainnet promises 10,000 transactions per second, 800-millisecond finality, and near-zero gas fees, addressing long-standing scalability and latency issues on existing blockchains.

Ahead of the launch, the team concluded its MON token airdrop claim window on November 3, distributing allocations to around 225,000 verified users following an anti-sybil screening. Eligible participants included DeFi power users, high-volume DEX traders, and NFT collectors from top projects like CryptoPunks and Pudgy Penguins.

While full tokenomics details remain undisclosed, the unofficial pre-market price of MON has already gained traction. On decentralized perpetuals platform Hyperliquid, MON is trading around $0.06, up nearly 50% in the last 24 hours on over $14 million in trading volume, fueled by renewed bullish sentiment across crypto markets.

Upon launch, official MON trading will go live across multiple venues, with Kraken confirming that it will list the token on day one—a move signaling growing institutional interest in Monad’s ecosystem.

With a fast-growing developer base, major funding, and a scalable infrastructure promising to rival both Solana and Ethereum, Monad’s November 24 launch could be one of the most significant events closing out 2025’s Layer-1 race.
