Trump-Backed WLFI Token Debuts on Binance With $30B Valuation

World Liberty Financial, a decentralized finance initiative supported by former U.S. President Donald Trump and his family, has officially brought its native token, WLFI, to the open market. The token began trading on Sept. 1 across major platforms, including Binance, where it debuted with spot pairs in WLFI/USDT and WLFI/USDC at 1 p.m. UTC.
WLFI opened trading above $0.30, signaling a fully diluted valuation of over $30 billion based on its 100 billion-token supply. That places it alongside the likes of Dogecoin, Sui, and Tron in terms of market capitalization. Early investors who bought in during rounds priced between $0.015 and $0.05 are now sitting on paper returns of up to 20x.
The token’s launch distribution was carefully structured. Approximately 24.67% of WLFI’s supply—about 24.67 billion tokens—entered circulation at launch. These include 10 billion for World Liberty Financial’s ecosystem fund, 7 billion for treasury partner Alt5 Sigma Corporation, and 2.8 billion for liquidity and marketing. An additional 4 billion tokens from early funding rounds became claimable through the Lockbox process on day one.
The majority of WLFI remains locked, with allocations set aside for the project’s treasury (19.96 billion), team (33.51 billion), public sale vesting (16 billion), and strategic partners (5.8 billion). Vesting and lock-up conditions aim to stabilize long-term supply.
World Liberty Financial launched in 2024 with a mission to bridge traditional financial products with blockchain-based infrastructure. Built on Ethereum and integrated with Aave V3, the protocol has emphasized security through audited reserves and custodial relationships. WLFI serves as its governance token, giving holders voting rights on future development and incentive programs.
The debut comes as World Liberty expands its stablecoin strategy. Its USD1 token, already circulating on Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Tron, has now gone live on Solana. With a $2.6 billion market cap, USD1 currently ranks as the sixth-largest stablecoin by size.
Derivatives traders anticipated WLFI’s arrival, with perpetual futures volume surging by 400% in the days leading up to the listing. If WLFI sustains its debut pricing, it could cement itself as one of the most valuable governance tokens in the DeFi sector.
