Zelcash utilises zero-knowledge proofs first coined in a digital currency by Zcash and utilised by many other privacy coin projects. This fact provides a relatively large network of developers for different teams providing improvements to the protocol over time to strengthen the core functionality of blockchain technology and zero-knowledge protocol base.
