Michael Saylor’s Strategy Acquires $1.99B in Bitcoin, Nears 500K BTC Holdings

Michael Saylor’s newly rebranded company, Strategy, has made another massive Bitcoin acquisition, securing $1.99 billion worth of BTC. This latest purchase adds 20,356 BTC to its holdings, bringing the company’s total to an impressive 499,096 BTC—just shy of the 500K milestone. The acquisition was made at an average price of $97,514 per Bitcoin, pushing the total value of its BTC reserves beyond $33 billion.

This move aligns with the firm’s ongoing 21/21 plan and marks its first Bitcoin purchase since February 10th, when it acquired $742 million worth of the asset. Despite its recent name change from MicroStrategy to simply "Strategy," the company remains committed to its core mission of Bitcoin accumulation.

Institutional backing for Strategy also continues to grow. BlackRock, one of the world’s largest asset managers with $11.6 trillion in AUM, recently increased its stake in the firm to 5% as of February 6th. With Bitcoin now trading near $95,000, Strategy’s average purchase price of $66,357 per BTC underscores its long-term conviction in the cryptocurrency’s value.
