Michael Saylor’s Strategy Adds $49.9M in Bitcoin, Expands Treasury to 641,692 BTC

Billionaire Michael Saylor’s Bitcoin acquisition firm, Strategy, has added another 487 BTC to its massive crypto treasury, according to a new SEC filing. The purchases, completed between November 3 and November 9, amounted to $49.9 million in cash, averaging $102,557 per Bitcoin including fees and expenses.
With this latest addition, Strategy now holds a staggering 641,692 BTC, acquired for a combined $47.54 billion at an average price of $74,079 per Bitcoin. This positions Strategy as the undisputed largest corporate holder of Bitcoin, far surpassing any other institution in scale and conviction.
Funded by Preferred Stock Offerings
The filing disclosed that the latest Bitcoin acquisition was financed through proceeds from several perpetual preferred stock sales under Strategy’s at-the-market (ATM) program. Between November 3 and 9, the company raised roughly $50 million from four preferred stock classes—Series A Strife, Stretch, Strike, and Stride—without issuing any new common shares.
This strategic financing structure highlights Saylor’s commitment to accumulating Bitcoin without shareholder dilution, using preferred stock proceeds to strengthen the company’s balance sheet and maintain its Bitcoin-focused treasury model.
Long-Term Conviction Amid Market Uncertainty
Despite recent market volatility, Strategy continues to accumulate Bitcoin through incremental purchases, reflecting Saylor’s long-term confidence in the asset’s role as “digital property.” His approach remains consistent: buy strategically, hold indefinitely, and let Bitcoin appreciate over time.
Saylor has repeatedly characterized Bitcoin as the most efficient hedge against inflation and currency debasement, a philosophy that continues to guide Strategy’s financial operations.
Reinforcing a Bitcoin-Centric Vision
As of November 9, the company’s holdings—valued at over $65 billion at current market prices—underscore its influence in the global crypto ecosystem. Moreover, Strategy’s filing revealed more than $15.8 billion in authorized Class A common stock still available for issuance, leaving ample capacity for future Bitcoin acquisitions.
Saylor’s steadfast belief in Bitcoin’s long-term potential continues to shape Strategy’s identity as not just a corporate investor, but a structural pillar in the digital asset economy—anchored by the conviction that Bitcoin remains the foundation of future financial resilience.
