SNX Rockets 140% as Synthetix Prepares Ethereum Perpetual DEX Launch

Synthetix (SNX) has stunned the crypto market with a powerful comeback, soaring nearly 140% as excitement mounts over the protocol’s upcoming perpetual decentralized exchange (DEX) launch on the Ethereum mainnet.

The rally, which pushed SNX to its highest level since January, marks one of the strongest recoveries among altcoins following last week’s market turmoil triggered by President Trump’s tariff announcement. After plunging to a three-month low on Friday, SNX rebounded sharply over the weekend—posting an explosive 98% surge that outpaced even Bitcoin and Ethereum.

At press time, SNX was trading around $2.33, supported by a staggering 834% jump in daily trading volume to $626 million, data shows. Analysts noted that the coin’s dramatic “god candle” represented a decisive break above previous resistance levels, signaling renewed investor confidence.

The latest momentum isn’t just technical—it’s also tied to real product developments. Synthetix is set to debut the first perpetual DEX on Ethereum in Q4 2025, positioning itself alongside leading on-chain derivatives platforms like Hyperliquid and Lighter. The launch will be accompanied by a global trading competition designed to attract top-tier traders and drive liquidity to the platform.

“The new Synthetix perp DEX could redefine on-chain leverage trading,” one analyst commented. “After the issues faced by other perp platforms, many are watching to see if Synthetix can finally deliver the reliability traders want.”

Others see this as a critical moment for Synthetix to reclaim its early-DeFi legacy. The protocol, once a leader in synthetic assets, had faded from the spotlight in recent years. But with the Synthetix Liquidity Prover (SLP) Vault in development to improve capital efficiency—mirroring systems used by newer DEXs—many believe SNX is positioned for a strong comeback.

Still, not everyone is convinced. Some traders remain cautious, citing past underwhelming launches and uncertain user adoption. Whether Synthetix can sustain this surge may depend on how smoothly its new DEX rollout proceeds in the coming weeks.

For now, though, SNX stands out as one of the market’s most remarkable performers—proof that in crypto, old projects can still find new life when innovation meets timing.
