BNB’s Cooling Phase May Signal Next Surge Toward $1,800 as Bullish Fractal Reappears

BNB has recently emerged as one of the best-performing large-cap assets, smashing through the $1,340 level to set a new all-time high earlier this week. Despite a slight 3.4% dip from that peak, the token remains up 3.3% in the past 24 hours and over 27% across the last seven days — a performance that continues to outshine most of the crypto market.
Technical indicators suggest that this pullback might extend a bit further, but analysts view it as a potentially bullish cooldown. The current 12-hour chart shows a pattern nearly identical to a previous “flag-and-pole” fractal — one that led to a 28% rally earlier in the cycle. Previously, BNB surged from $840 to $1,080 before retracing 13.9% to $930, and then launching beyond $1,270.
This time, the new setup mirrors that structure: a strong pole up to $1,340 followed by the beginning of a consolidation flag. Supporting this, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) on the 12-hour timeframe has shown bearish divergence — price made a higher high while RSI made a lower one, hinting at cooling momentum.
On-chain data reinforces the case for a temporary correction. The short-term holder Net Unrealized Profit/Loss (NUPL) — a metric tracking unrealized gains — surged 170% from 0.128 on September 25 to 0.345 as of October 7, marking its highest level in 2025. Historically, similar NUPL spikes have coincided with short-term local tops, followed by modest retracements.
Should the current fractal continue to play out, analysts expect a potential dip toward the $1,190–$1,130 zone, aligning with key Fibonacci retracement levels. This range is viewed as a strong reentry area for bullish traders, setting the stage for the next upward move.
If BNB rebounds from that region, Fibonacci projections point to future targets near $1,550 and $1,820 — levels that align with previous breakout extensions. However, a decisive close below $1,130 on the 12-hour chart could invalidate this bullish thesis.
For now, both the technical structure and on-chain sentiment suggest that this pullback isn’t a red flag — it’s a potential refueling phase before BNB’s next major leg higher.
