World Liberty Financial Rewards Early Users with 8.4 Million WLFI Tokens as USD1 Ecosystem Expands

World Liberty Financial (WLFI) announced a major token drop, distributing 8.4 million WLFI governance tokens to early adopters who participated in its USD1 stablecoin points program. The move aims to strengthen engagement within its growing USD1 ecosystem and reward loyal users for helping build momentum around the project.
The USD1 Points Program, launched just two months ago, was designed as a loyalty and adoption mechanism for the USD1 stablecoin. Participants could earn points by trading USD1 pairs on partner exchanges or by maintaining balances of the asset, which is backed 1:1 with U.S. dollars and custodied by BitGo.
World Liberty confirmed that the WLFI token distribution will occur across six major exchanges — Gate.io, KuCoin, LBank, HTX Global, Flipster, and MEXC — though each exchange will independently handle reward allocations and eligibility. Specific timing will be detailed in upcoming exchange announcements.
In a post on X, the company highlighted that its points program is just getting started, promising future expansions tied to DeFi integrations, new trading pairs, and more ways for users to earn and spend USD1. CEO Zack Witkoff, speaking at Token2049 in Singapore, added that World Liberty is exploring real-world asset tokenization and expects to roll out its own branded debit card between late 2025 and early 2026.
USD1 has quietly grown into the world’s sixth-largest stablecoin with a $2.98 billion market cap, underscoring the traction behind the project. WLFI, meanwhile, trades at $0.14 — down 5.25% in the past 24 hours — with a total market capitalization of $3.8 billion, reflecting investor anticipation for the next phase of the Trump-aligned financial venture.
