Bitcoin ETFs Attract $286M in Two Days as October Outflows Ease

US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) attracted $286 million in net inflows over two consecutive trading days, helping offset earlier withdrawals and bringing October's net outflows close to zero.

The funds recorded approximately $176 million in net inflows on Tuesday, following $110 million on Monday, according to data from SoSoValue. The two-day recovery came after investors pulled nearly $774 million from the products on Thursday and Friday.

Despite the recent rebound, US spot Bitcoin ETFs remained slightly negative for October, with cumulative net outflows of around $26 million through Tuesday. Their year-to-date net inflows stood at approximately $850 million.

The return of capital to Bitcoin investment products coincided with a modest improvement in broader crypto market sentiment. The Crypto Fear & Greed Index climbed to 51 on Tuesday, up from 48 a day earlier, keeping the market in neutral territory. The reading remained below the score of 63 recorded a week earlier, when sentiment pointed to greed.

Bitcoin (BTC) traded at approximately $80,818 at the time of publication, gaining 1.6% over the previous 24 hours, according to CoinGecko.

Ether ETFs Face Continued Outflows

While Bitcoin funds attracted fresh investment, US spot Ether (ETH) ETFs continued to experience withdrawals. The products recorded around $149 million in combined net outflows on Monday and Tuesday, extending a negative trend that has lasted four consecutive weeks.

Ether ETFs' cumulative net outflows for October reached approximately $1.32 billion through Tuesday. If the trend continues, the month could record the largest monthly net withdrawals since November 2025.

The contrasting flows highlight a divergence between the two largest cryptocurrency investment products. Bitcoin ETFs have started to recover from recent selling pressure, while Ether funds continue to face sustained investor withdrawals.

Whether Bitcoin ETFs can maintain their renewed inflows and whether Ether products can reverse their losses remain key developments to watch as October draws to a close.
