Gnosis (GNO), founded by Martin Koppelmann and Stefan George in January 2015, completed a Dutch-style token auction on 24 April 2017, raising $12.5millon within 10 minutes whilst retaining 95% of the tokens. The development team (10 core members) have promised to not dump the remaining tokens on the market and provide a three-month warning before selling off any token stakes.
Gnosis is a prediction market platform based on Ethereum (ERC-20 token). Gnosis plans to create an entire infrastructure layer which users can use to build their own prediction market platform application, thus enabling a revolutionary market-driven forecasting tech which lets users use historical data to predict the future, targeting global markets in finance, insurance and information discovery.
Gnosis’ concept enables users to create an arbitrary event and make predictions on any information they choose. Gnosis currently has two core products: Dutch exchange – a decentralised exchange for ERC-20 token pairings (based on the Dutch auction principle) and Gnosis Save, a security multi-signature wallet for storage and transfer of ERC-20 tokens.
