Its Official, Apple Co-founder Steve Wozniak Joins Blockchain Investment Company EQUI Global

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak joined blockchain-based venture capital fund EQUI Global as the co-founder of the blockchain company. Back in August 2018, Wozniak officials stated him being the part of this investment firm Equi Capital.

The blockchain-based venture capital firm EQUI Global aims to change the dynamics of the traditional investment industry by enabling non-institutional investments along with letting investors trade on external crypto exchanges using the EquiTokens. The EquiTokens are quite popular among the developers of the decentralized applications (dApps) and built using the Ethereum blockchain network.

Global business outlet Verdict noted that EQUI Global will specifically target “sophisticated” investors focused on venture capital funds via investing in EquiTokens. EQUI Global also aims to provide a seamless trading experience allowing quick and easy liquidation of tokens via the cryptocurrency exchanges. The report also states that 80 percent of EQUI Global’s investments will be put in technology companies while the rest shall be put in other industries like real estate.

As stated in the official blog post of EQUI Global, Wozniak says that the company’s mission is to seek, support and fund the blockchain and tech stars of tomorrow.” Furthermore, EQUI Global has already partnered with 20 companies awaiting to launch officially.

Once all these companies are shortlisted, they will be personally monitored by EQUI Global’s board of social entrepreneurs. We are the teachers and I believe in that so strongly because Apple was strongly mentored. The enjoyment we had, the passion, starting the company, the excitement, it’s the most exciting thing,” said Wozniak.

Wozniak also noted that he has been receiving several offers every single day to join different businesses. However, this is for the first time in 20 years after Apple that Wozniak is directly involved as a board member.

Wozniak directly being a co-founder of a company supporting cryptocurrency and blockchain technology testifies his confidence in this industry. However, Wozniak was earlier quite skeptical about blockchain technology and went to call it a “bubble”. Later Wozniak clarified his stand saying: “At first I kept hearing [about blockchain], and I didn’t understand it. It’s not something you understand in a day. You think about it, read more about it and how it works, and then you see how people actually start to use it, through the mining process and also the verification and, aha! It all adds up!”
