Stratis (STRAT) is a blockchain development platform which enables individuals and institutions to create their own blockchain. Written in C# (C Sharp) code for .NET implementation, Stratis offers blockchain services tailored to a well-known and trusted programming language. The goal of the platform is to become a prime vendor in the blockchain-as-a-service (BAAS) market, making it simple for companies to utilize blockchain in their business.

Stratis Group Ltd is the London based firm who oversee the project, and is headed by CEO and founder, Chris Trew. The ICO ended on July 26th 2016, with over 98 million STRAT now in circulation. Stratis uses a proof of stake (POS) algorithm, and there is an expected rate of inflation of 0.5%-1% per year based on staked holdings, with no new coins being mined.
Stratis recorded a meteoric 49,000% growth in value between 2016 & 2018. The project began as a fork of NBitcoin, another project which aimed at providing .NET support for blockchain services.
