Ox (ZRX) is an open, permissionless platform which facilitates the exchange of ERC20 tokens on the Ethereum blockchain. Transactions are carried out using Ethereum’s smart contract system and are completely open to the public, and free to use for dApp developers. Applications based on the Ox protocol can generate their own liquidity pools, and accumulate the subsequent transaction fees. Ox aims to serve as the common standard which provides interoperability between compatible dApps.
Ox is led by co-founder and CEO Will Warren, along with co-founder Amir Bandeali, and has an international team of engineers and advisors behind it. The Ox ICO was launched on Aug 15th 2017.
Ox also incorporates atomic transfers, which accommodates easier trading between different coins and cuts down on transaction fees by minimizing the number of transactions required. The project is committed to decentralized governance, and developer access is only required for secure updates. The Ox protocol has been adopted by a number of dApps and relayers, with more in the pipeline.
